One Year Ago

This was last Easter. Thanks in advance for not reiterating how ugly their outfits are. My mother and sister were kind enough to fill me in.  I don't really remember this period of my life but I imagine I was thinking, "How very different I am!  I will not dress them in pastels like every other mom out there!  How cool am I???"  Not very.

So we are off to meet the Easter Bunny. Given they don't like humans in general, I doubt they'll like a human dressed as a rabbit. I imagine their reaction will be similar to coming face-to-face with Charles Manson. Which is always fun in a crowded place.  I only feel the need to torture them in this manner because of all the grief I received for not making them go see Santa at Christmas time so we could all look at a picture years from now of two traumatized toddlers sitting on most likely a raging alcoholic's lap.  Wish me luck.

  2. *moment to gush as I delurk* Hi. Love your blog. Brings me many laughs. *gushing ends*

Those outfits are much better than pastels. Of course, my friends threaten to put me on What Not to Wear so my opinion should be taken with a bucket of salt.

  3. Well, I keep seeing clothes on super clearance and thinking, "I must have terrible taste, because I like this." So maybe I can't be trusted. But I think their outfits are adorable. Or maybe it's just that they're so damn cute, they make any clothes cute!

Matilda (13 months old) was okay with meeting the Easter Bunny; to her, he was a giant chew toy. But Ezra, 3, was having none of it. We finally got a picture of him on the other end of the bench, staring the Bunny down with a most suspicious face. Not an extremely cute and cuddly picture, but very him.

I hope they cooperate and you get some great mom-and-sister-approved pictures!

  6. My oldest girls best friend was the Easter Bunny at the mall this year. She said one kid threw up on her.

  7. Aren't they just so beautiful! And you know what, pastel colours are great on babies and children, especially at Easter, but those little brown dresses you have on your girls are simply adorable, too! And very stylish!
